My name is Charles Outcalt.
I earned a PhD in higher education, but I have studied, researched, presented, published and taught in a wide range of additional fields, from diversity to leadership to anthropology to social work.
I have extensive experience in higher education consulting, research, leadership and teaching. In addition, I have earned consulting expertise in admissions processes, within private and public sector, with particular emphases on institutional fit and access/equity in college-going. My publications and presentations have focused on student development and experience. Throughout my career, I have won leadership roles dedicated to institutional transformation and student services. I have decades of teaching experience and course development in a wide variety of disciplines and schools, from community colleges serving at-risk students to highly selective research-based universities. My graduate training and degrees are in higher education, cultural anthropology and theological studies. In addition, I have a long history of achieving grants, awards and fellowships within higher education.
